Palm Beach Polo

If you have spent a little time perusing this blog you probably already know that I love horses. Aside from photography they are certainly one of my greatest passions and I look for every opportunity to bring them into my work (and life for that matter!). Every winter we enjoy polo season and the opportunity to watch these beautiful athletes do what they do best...

My Latest Obsessions + Inspirations

Bow Ties.
 
I simply love them and am so glad to see them appearing on our grooms and groomsmen. I think they are fun, classy and timeless. One of my recent brides asked every male guest at her wedding to wear a colorful bow tie. It was a great way to get her guests involved and was adorable to see all the bow ties in the crowd.

Fall.
 
Event though we are currently in Miami and Fall isn't really noticeable here, we did see the leaves changing while in New York (here is an image I shot in Central Park during this engagement session). I'm already getting excited for the holidays and all the cooking, food and company that accompany them.

Shooting Film.
 
As you may know I love to shoot both film and digital. Lately, I have been shooting more and more film and am loving the results, in a large part due to the wonderful folks at Richard Photo Lab. I love how I feel while I am shooting film and am inspired to shoot more.

A few of this Summer's Inspirations + Obsessions

Shoes. If I didn't love shoes enough before the era of Sex and the City, I am certainly addicted now. Another long time obsession of mine is Vera Wang, so putting the two together seems like a match made in heaven.

Stacks of gold trimmed vintage plates (used at our wedding) and this peony bowl that my mother gifted us for our one year anniversary from Michael C. Fina....

Summer reading and all the summer food. Bowls of farm fresh cherries and grilling out. Grilled corn, artichokes, flatbread, you name it. So good.

Today I am also inspired by the intriguing work of Rodney Smith. His photographs are beautiful and complex and his biography has me wishing I could have him as a dinner guest. See more of his amazing photography here.
