Paola and Jeremy's Wedding, Mexico City, 5.24.08

Paola and Jeremy,
5.24.08. Their wedding was at Paola's father's ranch,
Rancho La Rosarita, just outside of Mexico City.
Paola and Jeremy have been great friends of Chad and
I for a few years now, and somehow it seems that just
yesterday they were getting engaged.
After spending a wonderful few days at Paola's mother, Lili's house, (who graciously opened her home to 5 girls and a baby!), the wedding arrived. Seeing that I was a bridesmaid, I did have certain duties, such as getting to the beauty salon at 8am (ahh!), and helping to make sure things went off without a hitch... and I couldn't help but shooting too!
Paola and Jeremy are both graduates from the Culinary Institute of America (where they meet), so hospitality is literally their business. They flawlessly blended the Mexican and Jewish traditions, ranch surroundings and timeless elegance, and gourmet hors d'oeuvres to midnight mexican. With over 235 people, some speaking english, some spanish, everyone melted together and it was a hoping fiesta. They even had a mechanical bull, and if it couldn't get better, Paola rode on it in her gown!
I had such a great time and loved being a guest at a wedding. It also did happen to be my birthday (yippee!), and I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend it, drinking and dancing with people I love, it will be a tough act to follow next year! Here are a few of my favorite images from the day, Enjoy!
A little later in the night.... Chad, Paola, and Jeremy on the bull! So cool!

Baby Luca
Among us girls we have
also had little Luca staying with us. He is Aria's
baby, and is the happiest little baby I have ever
met. He can't stop cracking up all day. He has been
an amazing sport trekking around Mexico, and takes it
all in stride. This morning we were playing a little
peek-a-boo with the camera, so funny! He will be a
ringbearer on Saturday, gonna be so cute!
Mexico City!
Mexico City!
Finally I am able to blog! I have been in Mexico City since tuesday, and it has been great! I am here for Jeremy and Paola's wedding (in the previous post from Key Biscayne) and a bunch of us girls came early to stay with Paola and her mom. We have been finalizing the details of her wedding (now I know what you girls go through, gosh!). It has been a great way to see such a large city and get a feel for it from a locals view. It is a busy, bustling, and slightly chaotic city with great food, a great vibe, and lots going on.
We have started each morning running in the park. It is a forest with great trails and hills, and then finishing with a glass of fresh squeezed juices for $1! Love it!
We just checked into the hotel tonight and the festivities begin tomorrow, can't wait to have more to show!

Dog Days of Summer

Well, summer is back!
Not that it ever really cools down here, but it is
heating up quick! So yesterday I took Axl out for
some swimming, and as you can see he was as happy as
ever. This is the bay behind my house, perfect for
fetch!

Such a good retriever!

Orly and Devin were
married at the Ritz Carlton on Saturday and I shot their
wedding for Jon Scott. The weather was great, Orly
looked amazing and everything went smoothly. Both
Orly and Devin broke down to tears several times
throughout the day, including Devin when he saw
Orly for the first time. They are so in love! It
was great to be apart of a couples day who had
such a strong respect and love for each other,
Congrats!

Francis and Heath were
married at the Boca Resort on May 9th. I shot this
stunning wedding for Chris Joriann. It was so much fun, Francis and
Heath are a gorgeous couple and as we learned
throughout the day, truly compliment one another.
She did a great job with the details of the
wedding, and it was the first time that I had seen
cherry blossoms used in the flowers and completely
loved it! I lived in Japan for a couple of years
growing up and always loved the cherry blossom
trees. Check it out...
Is that not the redest hair you have ever seen??

Karlene and Matt

Karlene and Matt were
married at St. Jude Catholic Church and had their
reception at Del Ray Beach Marriott. I was shooting
their wedding for Jonathan Scott , and couldn't have landed a
sweeter couple.
They had a blast throughout the entire day, and had a energy packed reception. Karlene is from Trinidad so many of her relatives had made the trip. Judging from Karlene and her family, I came to the conclusion that Trinidad must have some of the most beautiful woman in the world, it was like attending a beauty pageant (and you should have seen them dance)! With over 315 people attending the celebration, during the party, somehow almost all of them were on the dance floor. Super fun, great smiles, and great luck to you both, though, I don't think you'll be needing it!!
What a sight!
Karlene could dance like you can't believe! In fact ALL the women in her family could, it was amazing!

Jessica and Brian had a
beautiful wedding at the American Orchid Society
in Del Ray. It was a
charming location for a wedding, and they paid
great attention to all the details to give it the
final touch. I loved the table pieces, and the
outdoor reception, check it out...
Paola and Jeremy's kinda wedding, Key Biscayne
Yes,
it was Paola and Jeremy's KINDA wedding. Paola and
Jeremy are great friends of mine that will be tying
the knot on May 24th in Mexico City. My boyfriend,
Chad and I have the pleasure of being in the wedding
party and can't wait! However, they decided to get
hitched here before going to Mexico just for the
legality aspect to avoid any issues. What started out
as a trip to the courthouse turned into a super
casual family ceremony on the beach followed by a
BBQ. So, it was their wedding, kinda.
Here are some shots from the afternoon in Key Biscayne, I can't wait for the huge wedding in Mexico, watch for those images on May 24th.. even though I will have bridesmaid duties, you know I will be sneaking in some photos! Congrats guys!
I love this shot!
Jeremy and his Dad
Jeremy and Paola's buddies from the Coast Guard even did a fly by!
