Aria...

Last week I spent the afternoon with my friend Aria at her home in Hollywood. Aria is a contestant on the The Next Food Network Star that debuts on June 6th. It is no surprise that she is taking the world by storm as she is one of the sweetest, genuine people I know, and a damn good cook! Check out more from her shoot on our facebook page, and don't forget to watch her on the Food Network!

Maria & Andy, Married!

For the second time this month we had the opportunity to drive south and trade in the hustle and traffic of Miami for the slow relaxed beat of the Keys. Maria and Andy hosted their wedding at the luxurious Hawks Cay Resort and Spa on Duck Key. Maria looked stunning in a flowing gown from Coral Gables Bridal and had the most amazing makeup done by Daniela of MAC (daniela0515@hotmail.com 305-801-3676), really girls, call her! Events by Mariel coordinated the day perfectly down to the last detail and added amazing touches to the already beautiful location. After cocktails at a lagoon side lounge guests were treated to an energetic party in the waterfront ballroom where parasols hung from the ceiling. Congrats Maria and Andy!

Nadja & Tyson's Wedding Portraits

Before eloping in the islands Nadja and Tyson joined me for some wedding portraits on the beach. They are such a stunning couple and so clearly head over heels in love. The weather, the beach and the light couldn't have been any better, it was simply beautiful...

A Vizcaya Engagement.. Andrea & Ariel

I'm headed out this morning on a 6 AM flight (ouch!) to Vegas for WPPI and then my bachelorette party and then to Northern Nevada for a little wedding planning... yeah!!! I apologize in advance if the blog slows to a crawl while I am gone, but I'll be back soon!
Until then, here is a glimpse of Andrea & Ariel's engagement session from this weekend at Vizcaya Gardens in Miami. I can't wait until their keys wedding in April, aren't they adorable!?

Mackenzie & Keys, Married!

Hawks Cay, and island oasis nestled on Duck Key in the heart of the Florida Keys, played host to Mackenzie and Keys (insert namesake irony joke here...) wedding. The photos of the location speak for themselves, the resort is gorgeous, relaxing, and fun to shoot! We started with portraits dockside at the marina while groups of friends cheered on the couple to be. Shortly after 5:00 the couple met in front of 75 guests as perfect March weather laid the framework for the perfectly simple ceremony. Mackenzie and Keys had a small yet elegant waterfront ceremony complete with white gazebo and flip flops that epitomized the "Keys" feel. The couple said their vows and then set off to enjoy cocktails around a stone fire pit and later enjoyed local faire amongst family and friends in the resort's unique octagonal reception hall. The night's festivities were soon capped by mini key lime pies and drinks at the bar. I have to say their wedding was a perfect example of simplistic elegance at its best. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Ana & Javier, Married!!

I can't even begin to say enough about this stunning couple from Ecuador. Not only did they do the bulk of the planning for this wedding in a few short months, but they planned a lovely and charming event. Ana is so sweet and was beyond gorgeous on her wedding day. She wore a custom made gown from Ecuador with a cathedral length veil, and as you can see she was breathtaking and so much fun to photograph! Javier's suit was also custom made and I loved the three piece look, so classic. They got ready at the Mondrian Hotel in South Beach which is an ultra chic and ultra modern hotel making it perfect for a first meeting and portraits. A vintage white Rolls Royce drove Ana to the church, and after an intimate ceremony the couple hosted over 150 guests at the Mother of the Bride's home. It was truly a romantic and lovely evening. Thanks so much to Monica of International Event Design, Chad for second shooting, and Ana and Javier who were truly a pleasure to work with! Enjoy French Polynesia!

Ann & Eric, Married!

With a twist of modern details and traditional ceremonies Ann and Eric tied the knot by candlelight in Aventura, Florida. Ann was absolutely stunning and even barred the unusually cold temperatures to shoot on the beach, she was truly a superhero. Both Ann and Eric added a bit of personality to their ensemble with stylish shoes (blue for Ann and Jordans for Eric!). The reception was nonstop dancing and the Music Machine band rocked the house. Congrats Ann & Eric!

Lynette & Ryan, Married!

Lynette and Ryan had such a gorgeous wedding at Pierre's of Islamorada. I think the details of a wedding can truly change everything about the event, and Lynette knocked hers out of the park. From her understated, flowing JCrew gown, to the flower perched in her hair, her grandmothers vintage necklace and simply divine flowers, she had everything wedding dreams are made of. Not to mention the always stunning Moorings of Islamorada as a backdrop. From North Carolina, Lynette and Ryan couldn't be any sweeter or more down to earth. Their guests brought their southern charm (and accents) as well and created a buzz of happiness that surrounded their nuptials. It was a complete pleasure. Congrats!

Ashlee and Kenny, Married!

This last week Chad and I headed out to Nevada to shoot my dear friend Ashlee and Kenny's wedding. I have known Ashlee for ages and couldn't be happier to be apart of her day. They had a gorgeous, sunny afternoon and wed in the pasture at Ashlee's parents property in Gardnerville, Nevada. After the they exchanged vows their guests danced to country music, sat around fire pits, and drank beer. It was a warm, heartfelt country affair with kids, dogs, horses and plenty of tears. Ashlee made a stunning bride (which none of us ever doubted) and complimented her gorgeous ivory gown with her favorite cowboy boots. She also made her own centerpieces (for 312 guests, wow!) and they made a donation in their guests honor to their favorite charity Catch-A-Dream. You are a beautiful couple, congratulations!!

The Manzardos

While the Manzardo’s were vacationing in the Florida Keys at the Moorings, I drove down to take a few family portraits as well as portraits of one of their sons, Andrew. Andrew is a talented guitarist, singer and songwriter. At the age of 17, he has already recorded 6 songs that he wrote! Impressive right? They will be launching his myspace page soon so keep and eye out to download his music (you will find it under Andrew Manzardo). I’ll be sure to blog when it comes out as well!

Here is Andrew and August, can we say ‘brotherly love’?

The Forzani's...

One of my brides and good friend Ashlee (who is getting married in September) gave her sister and maid of honor, Jennie a portrait session with me for all of her hard wedding work. So sweet! Jennie and her husband Peter have two adorable children. We shot at their home in Nevada while I was there and had a great time exploring their fields. I can’t wait to see these two rugrats all dressed up at the wedding!!

Jen and Mike, Married!

I can’t even begin to express what a joy it was to photograph the wedding of Jen and Mike. I was not only thrilled when Jen asked me to shoot their wedding, but it is always so wonderful to get back to Nevada. I have known Jen since middle school and she has always been fun, full of energy and has the most amazing style. Mike, who I got to know leading up to the wedding, is the perfect compliment to her, easygoing and sweet. Together they had a gorgeous backyard wedding at their home in Gardnerville, Nevada. The weather was perfect and Jen’s sense of style did not disappoint. Before the wedding Jen and Mike met in the field near their house to see each other for the first time (always a great moment!), then we loaded the bridal party up and headed to several locations in the valley for portraits (thanks to Bentley for allowing us to use their wheat field!). Not only was the bridal party fun and easygoing, but great looking! It was a fast paced and fun day... Congrats Jen and Mike, I can’t wait to see what great things come to you both!

Courtney and Ethan, Married! Rehearsal Dinner and Photobooth

Like many couples having wedding with a large group of out of town guests, Courtney and Ethan opted to include everyone in the rehearsal dinner and host a welcome party the night before their wedding. This is an option that I am a huge fan of (we will be doing it at our wedding!), it gives you more time with your guests, allows you to catch up with everyone, so by the wedding night you can just enjoy yourselves. They also decided that to ‘break the ice’ they would have a photo booth there as well. It is something we started a couple years ago as an alternative to the old fashioned photo booth. It is much more affordable, and gives you a lot more freedom to change the backgrounds, have props and get larger groups in photos. They did a great job getting a variety of props and after the cocktails started flowing everyone had a blast!

A beautiful setting for the outdoor welcome party...

Little Reese

Over the summer I shot belly photos of my cousin Sara, and since have been waiting to meet her baby. In September, little Reese Ann was born and while in Nevada I finally got a chance to meet her. She is so cute, super tall, lanky, and is going to be my flower girl for my wedding next summer! It was so great to hang out with Reese and her mom and dad, I can’t wait to get them all to Florida!

Jen and Mike, Engaged!

While in Nevada I spent the afternoon with Jen and Mike for their engagement session. I have know Jen since we were kids and it has been a blast getting back in touch with her before I shoot their backyard wedding in August. Jen and Mike are an energetic and fun couple, and Jen has always had a playful and creative sense of style (I can’t wait to see the wedding details!). In spite of the rain clouds on our tails we had a great time shooting at Jen’s parents house with their horse, Mic and in the oldest town in Nevada, Genoa. I’m looking forward to getting back out to Nevada for their wedding, congrats!

Ashlee and Kenny, Engaged!

While I was in Nevada planing my wedding I spent some time with one my greatest friends Ashlee and her fiance, Kenny. I have been friends with Ashlee since I moved with my family to the town of Gardnerville when I was about 12. Ashlee is one of the kindest people I have ever known. To no surprise, she met an amazing guy who rivals her in both kindness and compassion. Ashlee teaches special education mathematics at the middle school level (wow!) and Kenny is a counselor at a juvenile detention center (double wow!). They share each others love of the outdoors, dogs, horses and even hunting. I am so happy that they found each other and now are getting married, I can’t wait!

It is always such a pleasure to photograph friends and family, and though I will be walking in Ashlee’s wedding I will have the honor of shooting it as well (it won’t be the first time I will be wearing two hats!). Luckily, at Ashlee’s wedding I’m pretty sure I can leave my heels at home and wear my cowboy boots. I can’t wait for her country celebration and to see them both walk down the aisle! Congratulations Kenny and Ashlee, I couldn’t be happier for you!

Marjorie and Victor, Married!

Marjorie and Victor were married at the Hyatt, Ft. Lauderdale Pier 66. It was a stunning location for a wedding, and though the rain clouds were never far behind, Marjorie and Victor had a gorgeous celebration. Marjorie wore a beautiful latte gown and was a timeless and elegant bride. After exchanging vows, they celebrated high above Fort Lauderdale in the rotating tower of the Hyatt with their family and friends. Congrats Marjorie and Victor!

Family Portraits on the Beach

This extended family of 22 made their way from Birmingham, Alabama for a getaway in the keys and had the great idea of getting portraits done while on vacation. I can’t imagine a more beautiful family, and with the Moorings as a backdrop it was perfect. Here is a glimpse....

Dog Days of Summer

Over Memorial Day we escaped the busy streets of Miami and headed south to my favorite hideaway in the keys, Islamorada. As it was a bit of a last minute trip we were very lucky to find somewhere to stay during the holiday and incredibly lucky that our friend Alison (one of my former brides) offered to take Axl in for a doggy vacation. We had a great weekend and I had a great time celebrating my birthday on Sunday at one of my favorite restaurants, Morada Bay of the Moorings.
We were lucky enough to spend some time on the beach with Axl and his friends Molly and Arthur. Nothing quite like the dog days of summer!

Maria and Henrique, Married!!

Maria and Henrique were married in at St. Justin Church in Key Largo followed by a beautiful reception at Pierre’s of the Moorings Village. Maria was a stunning bride, and I adore her style. She has a mild obsession with J Crew and bought her shoes and wedding dress there... (which I loved)!! I pretty sure that if anyone is sponsored by J Crew, Maria is. Her details were simple and tatseful, with baskets of daisies and small candles decorating Pierre’s table.
Henrique looked very handsome wearing a black tux. I loved the black tie affair mixed with the relaxing ambiance of the keys. With their friends and family from all over the globe they had one loud, happy and very classy celebration. I’m so happy for Maria and Henrique and I can’t wait to hear all about your hawaiian honeymoon!! Congrats!

Cambry and her little ones...

Cambry asked me to shoot her and her two little ones, Amelie and Kai. After the shoot Cambry told me she was feeling bummed because the shoot hadn’t gone as she expected, Kai running all over the beach and digging in the sand furiously, Amelie a little moody and sometimes resistant. Then she commented on how we captured her TRUE relationships with her kids, and the real spirit of her family.
My hope with any portrait session, whether it be kids, engagement, or wedding is to capture the connections between people and the true emotions that surround them.
While Cambry for a moment my have hoped that they both had sat quietly, folded their hands, and said cheese, I know she’ll see that this is so much better...

Susan and Robert, Married!

Susan and Robert married at Vizcaya in Miami. The london based couple planned such a stunning wedding that incorporated both Susan’s Asian heritage and Robert’s Polish heritage. Vizcaya is a stunning piece of historic Miami, and makes an incredible backdrop for a wedding. Susan designed her own bouquet that was made by Flowers Unlimited, and it is definitely the most unique bouquet I have ever shot, I love it! Susan had he makeup done by none other than Tatiana, (who is amazing!) and they had musicians from AA Music. Congrats to the newlyweds, have an amazing honeymoon!!

I apologize in advance for this incredibly long blog post, however, once you see the bride, groom and location, I think you will understand. Anyone who has read this blog before knows how much I LOVE Islamorada and Pierre’s of the Moorings. It is simply gorgeous and makes my job so easy and puts the couple in the best mood.
Sarah and Todd are adorable, genuine and from Ohio! (I actually meet with her in Cincinnati while visiting Chad when he was finishing school there). They were such a pleasure to work with and I think that everyone there found themselves wiping their eyes on several occasions. Congrats to the newlyweds and I hope to see you both next time I’m in Ohio!

I arrived on Tuesday to Maui, Hawaii. My mom has just finished a massage therapy program and I wanted a chance to get out to see what she has been experiencing the last 6 months. Hawaii is such a tropical, unique place that is filled with different people all looking for a piece of paradise. It has been so nice to take a break, enjoy family, and relax. I didn't have a solid internet connection to blog during the trip, and now on my way home I will start to catch up, I have a lot of beauty to share. The Wedding of Laura and James

Last weekend Laura and James married overlooking the beach at the Jupiter Beach Resort. Laura, who once thought of herself as being 'awkward' in photos, couldn't have shot more stunningly. They are a beautiful couple, and there wasn't a dry eye during the ceremony. With many family members in from out of town, and out of the country (James is from New Zealand), the wedding was filled with the buzz of a destination wedding. It was a complete pleasure to be apart of their day!

Tomorrow I will be heading to Hawaii until the 14th of April... funny enough, I will be on the same island, and in the same area as Laura and James on their honeymoon! Hope to see you there! Enjoy!

Liz and Steve, Married!

When I first meet with Liz and Steve to discuss shooting their wedding, they gave me a tour of their adorable 1920's florida bungalow, and their backyard, that at the time consisted of dirt, overgrown trees and an empty pool. Their wedding was to be in 3 months, and would be held in that very backyard.

On Saturday when I arrived for the big day, I couldn't believe my eyes. Fresh flowers, newly laid sod, and a bright sparkling pool that had been sprinkled with petals. It was lovely. Liz and Steve managed to turn a dirt lot with a tear down into one of the best wedding locations ever, and they did almost all the work themselves.

The do it yourself story continued when friends of Liz's and myself Aria and Paola of D'Lish (so.dlish@yahoo.com) stepped in to plan the wedding. Not only did they plan, but they created flower arrangements, made invites, favors, and Aria even baked the wedding cake!!

They had a wonderful guitarist named Leiah Sicilliano, Liz's hair was done locally at Aqua Salon of Ft. Lauderdale, and her makeup was done by her best friend's sister Loli Ponce.
The wedding was relaxed, beautiful and reminded us all the simplicity is stunning. To see the full slideshow

Holiday Cards!?!

Today I thought, like I do every year at this time, ' I should really start my Christmas card so I'm not scrambling last minute'. And like every year, I continue on with whatever I was doing before and don't think too much more about it until December 1st, then December 15th, then the Post Office announcing the Holiday Postal Deadline. Procrastinate? Never!

So while I am going to attempt to get a jump start this year, (and stick to it), I thought I would remind all my clients as well, not to procrastinate! I know this year people are on a budget more than ever, and I think it is a great year to think about postcards (a low cost option), and using an image from your engagement session, your wedding, or your portrait session that we have already shot. Here are some ideas...

She is a total doll, and between dodging the sporadic downpours we had a great time. Good luck in all your upcoming endeavors Riana!

Jaime and Bob, Bridgeport, California, 7.12.08

Jaime and Bob had an amazing wedding at the Bridgeport Barn and Terrace in Bridgeport, California. Bridgeport is an amazing town near the border of California and Nevada and very dear to my heart, where I spent many of my summers wrangling at the Hunewill Guest Ranch. Jaime, also a former wrangler and now a vet, is a good friend and I have been close with her family for ages. Jaime and Bob are such a fun couple and together they have an amazing group of friends and family. Their day was heartfelt, full of laughter, tears, tequila, and country swing dancing. The ceremony was set in front of green pasture with the backdrop of the mountains and horses grazing in the distance. The Barn and Terrace (though I have been there many times it was the first wedding I had seen there) was an amazing venue. The walls, wood, fire-pits, flag, and location were perfect and created a beautiful ambiance where everyone was completely comfortable. Jaime and Bob kicked off their first dance to an upbeat country song and set the tone for the party that carried on into the night with everyone of the guests dancing. It was a great wedding, so amazing to see so many old friends and so great to be apart of their day. Congrats Jaime and Bob!

Lisa and Richard, The Moorings Islamorada, 7.10.08

After my flight was canceled I decided to take a detour and went to Las Vegas for the night with my dad and saw Garth Brooks in concert, so much fun and hands down the most amazing show I have ever seen! I was great to hang out in Sin City, but also so nice to be back in Miami! I have lots to blog about. Starting with Lisa and Richard...

They are a super sweet couple from South Carolina and were married on July 10th at
the Moorings in Islamorada. They held the ceremony on the beach with the officiant and Lisa's sister and her husband present, no other guests. It was intimate, beautiful and very relaxed. It was great to spend the afternoon with them (makes me want to move to the south!), and we had plenty of time to shoot on the beautiful grounds and for them to enjoy their day.

Finally! Thailand-Koh Tao

Koh Tao was obviously my favorite part of the trip.. seeing thats where I got engaged! It is considered the second top dive destination in the world next to the Great Barrier Reef. It only really began to be developed in the 1980's and much of the island is still jungle and treacherous dirt roads only accessible by dirt bikes. Even more popular are the wooden banana boat taxis that surround the island. The island is raw and beautiful with clear turquoise waters. We stayed in a bungalow at Sensi Paradise that was unreal. The people, food, water, fish and beaches were incredible. I can't wait to go back!

Thailand-Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand next to Bangkok, with bustling night markets, temples, and rivers. While we were there we shopped at local food markets, took a Thai cooking class, and even went white water rafting.

Thailand- The Elephants

We visited the Elephant Conservation near Chiang Mai. Alongside photography, animals have always been a passion of mine and to see these amazing animals firsthand was something else. They are incredible.
Elephants are very important to Thailand's history, spirituality, and economy. Unfortunately, like much of the incredible wildlife in this world they are suffering from habitat loss, illegal logging work and continued exploitation. The Conservation has become a safe haven for many of these amazing animals.

Thailand- Lamphang

We took a crowded local bus to the village of Lamphang. We stayed at the Riverside Guesthouse, which was, of course, on the river. It is a simple, but beautiful collection of dark wood rooms with orchids and thai decorations in every corner. It hadn't taken us too long to get used to sleeping in the heat with no AC, we were pretty used to the constant sweating. Happy We got in town just in time to catch the last bit of the local sunday market. You could buy just about everything you can imagine, and eat so much great food all for what converts to pennies of a US dollar. We loved it!

From Bangkok we left with our group and headed by train up north to Sukhothai. We stayed at a great guesthouse called J & J. The next morning we were up early and went cycling through the old city of Sukhothai. We walked through the first kingdom of thailand, and road our bikes through the small streets that led from temple to temple.

The first 8 days of our trip we traveled with a company called Intrepid Travel, we had a great group of 12 people from Ireland, Australia, England, and Canada and a super cool guide from Thailand we called Ben (her nickname). Back from Thailand!

I am finally back from Thailand! Thanks so much for everyones patience while I have been gone, but now it is back to business as usual!

As you may have guessed I took so many images on the trip, so for the next few days I will be blogging the images from each day.. so get ready!

Along with the images I will fill you in to the details of the journey, but I will fast forward and let you know that while we were in the island of Koh Tao Chad popped the question, and I'm engaged! It was a beautiful island (you will see), it is a beautiful ring, and I couldn't be happier. Soon I will know what all my brides go through firsthand when it comes to planning.. can't wait!

Christinia and Anthony, Palm Beach 6.7.08

Christinia and Anthony were married at the Saint Mark Greek Orthodox Church followed by a reception at the Ritz Carlton in Palm Beach. I shot this wedding for Jon Scott, and it was actually my first greek orthodox wedding and I loved it! I was only disappointed no one threw any plates on the ground (ha! I don't think the Ritz would have liked that!). The ceremony was amazing, and I loved the bubbles as they ran out of the church! Christinia and Anthony are a beautiful couple, that seemed to fit one another flawlessly. It was a beautiful day, check it out....

Liz and Patrick, Ironstone Vineyards, Murphys California, 5.31.08

Liz and Patrick tied the knot at Ironstone Vineayrds, in Murphys California. The winery is nestled in the Sierra Foothills, in the heart of California's Gold Rush Country. It is family owned, off the beaten path- and well worth the trek. Mother nature must have known about the wedding because after a rainy, cold week, the skies opened up to perfect sunshine and wonderful temperatures. The setting of the ceremony was breathtaking under the large trees and a small stream separating the guests and bridal party. Right after saying I do, the newlyweds were picked up by a beautiful team of horses (Ned and Nate) and swept off. I love weddings with horses!
We couldn't have been given a more beautiful day. Liz and Patrick were very relaxed throughout the entire day, and Liz couldn't stop smiling. The reception was great, with Ironstone's wines atop the tables, and the party even sang along to Garth Brooks. They also had a bar of candy set up with little paper bags for you to scoop candy into. It was in large glass bowls as well as big lollipops placed into grass, it was a great idea and I loved how it looked. I hope to be back at Ironstone soon, it was truly a pleasure. Congrats to Liz and Patrick! Here is some of our day...

Paola and Jeremy's Wedding, Mexico City, 5.24.08

Paola and Jeremy, 5.24.08. Their wedding was at Paola's father's ranch, Rancho La Rosarita, just outside of Mexico City. Paola and Jeremy have been great friends of Chad and I for a few years now, and somehow it seems that just yesterday they were getting engaged.
After spending a wonderful few days at Paola's mother, Lili's house, (who graciously opened her home to 5 girls and a baby!), the wedding arrived. Seeing that I was a bridesmaid, I did have certain duties, such as getting to the beauty salon at 8am (ahh!), and helping to make sure things went off without a hitch... and I couldn't help but shooting too!
Paola and Jeremy are both graduates from the Culinary Institute of America (where they meet), so hospitality is literally their business. They flawlessly blended the Mexican and Jewish traditions, ranch surroundings and timeless elegance, and gourmet
hors d'oeuvres to midnight mexican. With over 235 people, some speaking english, some spanish, everyone melted together and it was a hoping fiesta. They even had a mechanical bull, and if it couldn't get better, Paola rode on it in her gown!
I had such a great time and loved being a guest at a wedding. It also did happen to be my birthday (yippee!), and I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend it, drinking and dancing with people I love, it will be a tough act to follow next year! Here are a few of my favorite images from the day, Enjoy!

Karlene and Matt

Karlene and Matt were married at St. Jude Catholic Church and had their reception at Del Ray Beach Marriott. I was shooting their wedding for Jonathan Scott , and couldn't have landed a sweeter couple.
They had a blast throughout the entire day, and had a energy packed reception. Karlene is from Trinidad so many of her relatives had made the trip. Judging from Karlene and her family, I came to the conclusion that Trinidad must have some of the most beautiful woman in the world, it was like attending a beauty pageant (and you should have seen them dance)! With over 315 people attending the celebration, during the party, somehow almost all of them were on the dance floor. Super fun, great smiles, and great luck to you both, though, I don't think you'll be needing it!!

Paola and Jeremy's kinda wedding, Key Biscayne

Yes, it was Paola and Jeremy's KINDA wedding. Paola and Jeremy are great friends of mine that will be tying the knot on May 24th in Mexico City. My boyfriend, Chad and I have the pleasure of being in the wedding party and can't wait! However, they decided to get hitched here before going to Mexico just for the legality aspect to avoid any issues. What started out as a trip to the courthouse turned into a super casual family ceremony on the beach followed by a BBQ. So, it was their wedding, kinda.
Here are some shots from the afternoon in Key Biscayne, I can't wait for the huge wedding in Mexico, watch for those images on May 24th.. even though I will have bridesmaid duties, you know I will be sneaking in some photos! Congrats guys!

Alison and Rick, The Moorings, Isalmorada, Florida

Alison and Rick were married at Pierre's at The Moorings in Islamorada. I have been looking forward to their wedding for so long it was great to finally have it here. The weather was perfect, the Moorings were gorgeous as always, and Alison and Rick were so relaxed. It couldn't have been a smoother day.
There was a lot of emotion in the air, and tears flowing from beginning to end. It was truly flawless, from Arthur's (a huge black Newfoundland, and Alison's second love) surprise appearance at the ceremony, a beautiful sunset, to first rate fireworks over the ocean, nothing was overlooked. The wedding had a great flavor, from beachy keys to elegant and royal. Rick and Alison are such a sweet couple, I couldn't have had a better bride and groom to work with. And to make it even better, near the end of the night we opened a Photo Station to take portraits of the guests and everyone had such a great time with it... rubber fish, flamingos, hats and all. Thanks so much to Nicole and Katie who second shot, you were great! Rick and Alison, enjoy Italy and all the great pasta and wine!!

I can not say enough about this couple, except I don't think that I have laughed that much at a wedding yet. Sara and Mark, were so much fun! Party Party!! Last night was the Kiss and Showit Bash for everyone here at PartnerCon in Los Angeles. Super Fun!!! Some free booze, dancing girls, and yes, a photo booth!! I love photo booth! Every wedding I shoot is now required to have one... (well not exactly, but would be cool right?). I think that I when I hit the lottery I will get three of them and put them all over my house....

Was a great party, we sported our Kiss hats (they did ensure free drinks).

Welcome to Los Angeles!!!

After waking up very early, we (Nicole Kent & I) boarded a plane in Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles to go to Pictage Partner Conference. It is my first conference and I am so excited to experience it as well as help out Liana Lehman, (who we just spent time with at Photo Biz Bootcamp in Atlanta).

IMG_1478
After such an easy trip, we arrived at the hotel ready to go. We got the booth set up and started to see swarms of photographers in the hotel (somehow they all have a look!). I have already meet so many great people and spent the afternoon catching up on Liana's educational DVD's so I knew what to talk about today, and learn a thing or too!
We got our booth ready, I have already listened to a speaker, gotten completely motivated, and realized again how much I enjoy this type of stuff. I am on information overload, again... ahhhh!!
It is a great thing though!

Here Nicole and I are at our booth...
