Merry Moments of 2019

So many of our dreams came true this year, from an incredible first (of many) trips to China to shoot with Harper’s Bazaar to the launch of my preset collection with Refined Presets. I feel like a kid at Christmas, filled with so much excitement for what’s to come and full of gratitude for what already has. We are grateful to have experienced many opportunities and adventures that have come our way this last year, as well as for the roads we worked hard to pave.

It is such a reward to be able to do the work we do and share it with you. We offer our gratitude to you — our friends and community — for these ‘Merry’ moments from 2019. Without you, they wouldn’t be quite as magical, quite as joyful. Thank you.

We hope you experience the joy of reflection and the excitement of looking forward as we head into a brand new year.

THE WEDDING OF LEA MICHELE + ZANDY REICH

An intimate and classic affair in beautiful Napa Valley, I could not have been more honored to shoot the wedding of Lea Michele and Zandy Reich. The wine country setting, the joyous atmosphere, and the touch of Tuscany made for the most memorable celebration weekend.

SIMPLY WILD IN NEVADA

My passion for wild horses (and photographing them) remains strong and I had the opportunity to shoot a herd near my hometown in Northern Nevada this past spring. Pixellu Smart Albums came along to capture some of the extra behind-the-scenes adventures. You can view the new prints in our print shop and watch the Pixellu video here.

A YOSEMITE ENGAGEMENT

Words cannot do the beauty of this vista justice, but let me just say that ‘magic hour’ from up there is out of this world. Mother Nature proved, once again, that she is the most beautiful backdrop there is, and my engagement shoot with Cheryl + Sam at Yosemite National Park was more than proof enough.

REFINED X KT MERRY

After years of fine-tuning with Refined Co., my digital post-production guru, I launched my first collection of Lightroom presets and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. My travels have taken me from coasts to coasts and the endless palette of colors found in the blue waters around the world never ceases to amaze me. I selected some of my most favorite and wonder-full images for release in the KT Merry Print Shop. From the Maldives to Hawaii and beyond, shop our new water images here.

The best part of reflecting on the year that’s now behind us is to use what we’ve learned from that reflection to help plot the triumphs and adventures for the year ahead.
